Common issues with the apps

Mobile BankID does not open

If the BankID app does not open when you try to sign in, it may be due to a setting on your mobile phone or tablet. Follow BankID’s instructions.

You do not have access to the selected service

To sign in to our app for private users, you must have an agreement for telephone banking services. This agreement is required whether you sign in using Mobile BankID or your personal code.

To sign in to the app for corporate, you must have the Mobile Services for Business authorization included in the company's mandate.

The app has already been activated by another user

This error message may appear when you try to activate a personal code on a device where the app has already been activated by another user. Check that you are using the correct personal identity number. If the problem persists, you may need to delete the app and reinstall it.

  • How do I sign in to the Handelsbanken app?

    To sign in to the private app, you first need to have an agreement for telephone banking services. If you want to sign in to the app for corporate users, you must have the Mobile Services for Business authorization included in the company's mandate.

  • How do I activate a personal code in the app?

    To sign in with a personal code, you must first choose a code and activate the app. You can do this using a logon card and a card reader without a cable, or a QR reader. You can also obtain an activation code from a bank branch.

    If you only sign in using Mobile BankID, you do not need to activate the app.

    • Make sure you are using the correct app, that you have an agreement for telephone banking services, and that your mobile phone or tablet meets the system requirements.
    • Try using a different network, either Wi‑Fi or mobile data. If you are using a VPN, temporarily turn it off and try again.
    • If you have an Android device, try turning off power-saving mode and data-saving mode.
    • Restart your device and try again.
    • Delete the app and reinstall it. If you use a personal code to sign in, you will need to activate it again.
  • Why doesn't Mobile BankID open from the app?

    If it still doesn't work, you can try the following:

    • Restart your phone or tablet.
    • Try a different network, such as Wi‑Fi or mobile data.
    • Turn off your VPN temporarily, if you are using one.
    • Temporarily turn off battery saver and data saver mode if you are using an Android device.
    • Uninstall the app and then reinstall it. If you use a personal code to sign in, you will need to activate it again.
  • What does “You do not have permission to access the selected service” mean in the app?

    If you are trying to sign in to the app for private customers, this message usually means that you do not have an agreement for telephone services. You need to have this agreement regardless of whether you sign in with Mobile BankID or a personal code.
