Common issues with the apps
Mobile BankID does not open
If the BankID app does not open when you try to sign in, it may be due to a setting on your mobile phone or tablet. Follow BankID’s instructions.
You do not have access to the selected service
To sign in to our app for private users, you must have an agreement for telephone banking services. This agreement is required whether you sign in using Mobile BankID or your personal code.
To sign in to the app for corporate, you must have the Mobile Services for Business authorization included in the company's mandate.
The app has already been activated by another user
This error message may appear when you try to activate a personal code on a device where the app has already been activated by another user. Check that you are using the correct personal identity number. If the problem persists, you may need to delete the app and reinstall it.

1. The correct app and agreement
Make sure you are using Handelsbanken SE Private or Handelsbanken SE Business. You must also have an agreement for telephone banking services to use the private app, and the appropriate authorization in the company's mandate to use the business app. -
2. Restart or reinstall the app
Restart your mobile phone or tablet. If the problem persists, you can delete the app and reinstall it. If you sign in using a personal code, you will need to activate it again. -
3. Network and VPN
Try signing in using both Wi‑Fi and mobile data, one network at a time. If you are using a VPN, turn it off temporarily and try again. -
4. Time, date, and power-saving mode
Check that the time and date settings on your device are correct. If power-saving mode or data-saving mode is enabled, try turning it off temporarily and then try again.

How do I sign in to the Handelsbanken app?
To sign in to the private app, you first need to have an agreement for telephone banking services. If you want to sign in to the app for corporate users, you must have the Mobile Services for Business authorization included in the company's mandate.

How do I activate a personal code in the app?
To sign in with a personal code, you must first choose a code and activate the app. You can do this using a logon card and a card reader without a cable, or a QR reader. You can also obtain an activation code from a bank branch.
If you only sign in using Mobile BankID, you do not need to activate the app.
