Questions we're often asked

How do I order a Mobile BankID? 

  1. Log into Online Banking, choose log-in method card reader with cable.
  2. Go to Mobile and BankID in the main menu.
  3. In the menu, choose Order Mobile BankID.

How do I get a Mobile BankID if I cannot log in with the cable attached?

If you already have a Mobile BankID, you can order a new one in the mobile app. Log into the app and go to Settings. 

If you cannot log in with the cable attached:
  1. check that your card reader is working properly

  2. if it is still not working, go to:
    Help with BankID on card

Can I log in using a Mobile BankID issued by another bank?

Yes. The first time you log in using a Mobile BankID from another bank you will need to verify that is shall be used with Handelsbanken.
  1. Use your log-in card and card reader without the cable attached.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen.
The verification only occurs the first time you log in to our mobile or online banking services.
